More needs to be done to promote this channel so that hopefully thousands or tens of thousands of people watch these matches on a regular basis instead of the few hundred there are now and hopefully greatly increase on-line betting, which I would love to do but cannot since I live in California which for some reason does not allow on-line betting on Jai Alai. I would also prefer some standard 7 point matches or Spectacular 9 matches for the final games of the parimutuel programs so that skill rather than luck had a bigger impact in the outcome.Īs I see it, the Magic City YouTube Channel is the only hope for the survival of Jai Alai once casinos are no longer required to have parimutuel betting in Florida. But the short court does make the singles matches last longer.
I would still prefer a standard size court with granite walls particularly for the doubles matches. The YouTube channel and the announcing is spot on and as good as any other professional sport. Especially the H2H (head to head tennis style matches) that are very exciting to watch. In deference to the old review by someone in 2018, as of 2021 the Jai Alai here is as good as anywhere if not better.
